  7. What is erythropoietin (EPO) and what is its function? What is blood doping, why is it used and by whom? What problems can result from its use?

  10. Describe the structure and function of each type of WBC.

  12. Describe platelets and their main function. What vitamin is needed for blood clotting?
  13. Describe hemophilia (also see p. 484-485). What famous families have been affected by hemophilia and why?
